Setting up A Database

The uPortal system can be deployed such that a database from several different vendors may be used. At present, the following databases are supported. Click on the database type for more information:

• HypersonicSQL
• MySQL
• Oracle
• Microsoft SQL Server
• PostgreSQL
• DB2
• Sybase SQL Server

Additionally, uPortal supports database connection pooling using Poolman. Click Here for Poolman configuration Information.

uPortal uses a couple of tools called DbLoader and DbUnLoad to manage the database. For more information about DbLoader/DbUnload go Here
